Competition Rules

- No image shall be more than 3 years old at time of the competition judging.
- A maximum of three images is to be allowed in any one section ie prints, slides and digital projected image
- A maximum of 4 images may be entered to any one competition.
- Entries to be handed in when requested by the Competition Secretary, usually two weeks prior to the judging night. No late entries will be entered and returned.
- All prints shall not exceed 16 inches by 12 inches unmounted.
- If prints are mounted, the mount shall not exceed 500mm by 400mm (to comply with NWPA rules)
- Digital images shall be no bigger than 1400 pixels (wide) by 1050 pixels (high) at 72dpi, TIFF or uncompressed JPG.
- All images must have a title, written clearly and legible (No title, No entry).
- Slides & Prints must have the titles written in ink, NOT pencil (Indelible ink for slides, as ordinary ink smudges).
- Digital images shall be in the correct orientation when submitted, Comp Sec will deem the image correct and will be submitted as given, so no complaints!
- All images (no matter what medium) shall be collected after the judging night from the Comp Sec. He will bring them back to the club for two consecutive weeks after the judging, if not collected will be destroyed! If for some reason you are unable to collect, get someone else to pick them up for you.
SLATE
- Same rules as the internal Competitions except...
- All images to be taken between the Night of the AGM until September 9th.
- Images to be handed in on the 9th September
- Anything to do with Slate is eligible ie trucks carrying slate, old trams with the slate on them, slate tips...use your imagination!!
- Same rules as the internal Competitions except...
- Open competition, no subject matter, enter you best images.
- Maximum of three images in prints and projected (you may enter up to three prints and three slides OR three prints and three digital images = six entries)
- Same rules as the internal Competitions except...
- All images must have been taken in and around Blaenau
- A maximum of one landscapes may be submitted.
- Open competition, no subject matter, enter your best images.
- No age limit to entries
- Three entries
- The selection commitee will choose the prints/images to be entered, their decision is FINAL.
- Same rules as the internal Competitions except...
- Slides only
- Subject "Landscape"
- A set of four slides
- A maximum of two sets maybe entered
- If there are two sets, they must be labled on the slides "SET A" and "SET B"
- The points scored in each catagory will used to determine the winner.
- Same rules as the internal Competitions except...
- A set of three
- Each set will have one of each of the following subject matter: Landscape, Competitive sport & People
- A maximum of two sets maybe entered
- If there are two sets, they must be labled on the slides "SET A" and "SET B"
- The points scored in each catagory will used to determine the winner.
